Welcome NorthWest Aviaries is a wholesale producer of Budgerigars (parakeets) and has been serving customers from Alaska to Maine for over 30 years. Our birds are a unique combination of color, size and quality, and represent years of carefully managed avian husbandry. Selective breeding, the labor intensive process of matching each individual pair of birds, consistently produces strong and healthy offspring. Every week the breeding rooms provide hundreds of birds ready for distribution. A small number of the biggest and best from each harvest are held back and returned to the resident population, continuously strengthening the breeding pool. Prior to returning a resting flock to production, each pair is evaluated and changes are made based upon the results of the previous harvest. This on-going process assures the production of vigorous, beautiful budgies. |
